Lake Laconic has been chipping away at his music in the town of Astoria, OR
finding different directions to go while living in a place where foundation can be
built. His heart, humor and power spills into the songs he writes with a projecting
voice and a guitar that talks. Lake put his first album out in 2024, a self-titled
album that is a collection of songs he wrote while living in Los Angeles at the
height of chronic pain, self-recorded during the covid-19 outbreak. His most
recent album, Cut the String, was recorded by Mark Robertson and captured
through live tracking in the attic of Mark’s house with the help of Lake’s brother
and long time collaborator, Evan Jiroudek.
